This is truly the Best Monster Cookies Recipe you will ever find! Perfectly chewy with crisp outer edges, and loaded with oats, chocolate, and peanut butter!

Best Monster Cookies Recipe

Ok, where are all of my monster cookie lovers?? I have shared these fall inspired Chewy Pumpkin Monster Cookie Bars, and these long time favorite Zucchini Monster Cookies (oh, yes!!), but I have never shared a classic monster cookie recipe with you!

I know monster cookies are nothing new; most of you have probably had them before, and there are no shortages of monster cookie recipes online. HOWEVER, last week I was playing around with a recipe I have been making for years. I tweaked a few things, and when my cookie testers declared these the best cookies ever… I knew I had to share the recipe with all of you!

These cookies are the perfect combination of soft and chewy middles, crispy golden edges, and filled to the max with peanut butter, oats, ooey gooey chocolate, and a little crunch from the M&M’s.

My hubby got me a cookie jar for one of my Christmas gifts this year, and we have had fun filling it up with new cookie recipes each week since then.

My youngest is just a year old, but he quickly discovered that the good stuff is in the white jar on the counter. He reaches for it and whimpers. If you ask if he wants a cookie he smiles so big and laughs and nods. We have created a cookie monster!

Questions you may have, and pro tips on how to make the Best Monster Cookies Recipe:

Does the dough for this Monster Cookies Recipe need to be refrigerated? There is no need to refrigerate this cookie dough. It is ready to bake right away after mixing. If you want to make it ahead of time and need to refrigerate it, just allow it to sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes then bake per the instructions.

Can these cookies be frozen? Yes!! They freeze very well. As soon as they have cooled completely, place them on a cookie sheet on a single layered freeze about 30 minutes. Then they are ready to be transferred to a freezer storage bag or container.
