This Sour Cream Pound Cake is so moist and has a rich buttery vanilla flavor that is hard to resist! Eat it plain or deck it out with chocolate and sprinkles!

The BEST Sour Cream Pound Cake

This Sour Cream Pound Cake recipe goes out to all of you who think pound cake is boring. I used to feel that way too. It’s usually heavy and dry, and fairly flavorless. NOT THIS CAKE! You guys. This cake is dense yet moist. Sweet but not overly sweet. The buttery – vanilla flavor is completely crave-worthy. And if you still think it’s boring, go ahead and top it off with hot fudge, sprinkles, and cherries!

Sour Cream Pound Cake Supreme

This cake just screams “party” to me! When I was making it the other day, one of my 3 year olds was convinced it was his birthday. “Are we having a party??” “Is it my birthday??” Poor kid. He was so excited, but I had to keep telling him, no, it’s not your birthday and we are not having a party.

Moist, Buttery-Vanilla Pound Cake

It probably confused him further when I gave him 2 new toys, just because. I really have been blessed with sweet kids, and we almost never buy them toys other than on special occasions. I just wanted to surprise him with something fun…now the poor thing is so confused about when his actual birthday really is, haha!

Anyway, you should totally surprise someone you love with this cake “just because”.  It will definitely bring a smile to their face.
