It’s always a good time for chocolate and peanut butter! Especially when it’s in the form of a seriously addicting no bake cookie! You won’t be able to stop at just one!
My kids are kind of obsessed with Muddy Buddies. You know about Muddy Buddies, right? Ok, first you need to check out these Cupcake Muddy Buddies, and these S’mores Muddy Buddies, and definitely these Lemon Pie Muddy Buddies!! If you haven’t had muddy buddies before, run to the kitchen and make some now! You won’t be sorry.
So, anyway, my kids are always asking if we can make some, and this time I wanted to switch it up a bit. I had a box of rice krispie cereal in the pantry, and immediately got the idea for these cookies.
These cookies are just as addicting as the original. They are perfect for any occasion, and there is no baking involved. Enjoy!

Can you use Nutella in place of peanut butter? My granddaughter is allergic to nuts.

These Muddy Buddy treats are delicious! So easy to make and clean up is a cinch. The truckers at work love these cookies! 😁 All good reasons to keep these in the snack rotation 🙂

Please send me the website thank you
Grace says
Can they be frozen?
Stephanie Brubaker says
I would not freeze these. The texture will change and they won’t be crispy anymore.
Victoria says
I’m just stumbling upon this amazing recipe now and I feel so behind! Just a quick question though: how many servings or cookies does this recipe make?
Aimee B. says
This is AWESOME!! I made them today, halved the rec ipe, but only used 2 cups of Krispies. It was easier for me to stir that way. I’m also a lazy cook, so made them into bars. After they were set I sprinkled them with powdered sugar. My whole family loves them. They are a definite keeper. Thank you. 🙂
Rebecca says
why wouldnt you use chex cereal?
Stephanie Brubaker says
You certainly can. This is just a bit easier to eat, in my opinion 🙂
Jan Rogoway says
These no-bake treats sound wonderful. Can you use crunchy peanut butter instead of smooth?
Stephanie Brubaker says
You may need to add extra peanut butter if you use crunchy, since this is what holds the cookies together.
Toni says
I made these using a cacao bar and all natural peanut butter. They are quite scrummy!
Heather says
Approximately how many cookies does this recipe make?
MaryEllen Cox says
I don’t think that can be accurately answered since it depends on how big you dish them out.
I’m guessing “a lot” since it uses five cups of cereal.
Eileen says
Oi used a large tablespoon scooper and got about 25
Jen says
Looks delicious! How long will these stay fresh in the refrigerator?
Stephanie Brubaker says
Hi Jen! I’d say about a week 🙂
Kaitron says
Yay! It took me awhile to find a recipe to make muddy buddies that didn’t involve me getting out in the freezy peasy rain just for a box of cereal, when I have plenty of cereal here! Munchy crisis averted, you are my savior! :))
Bethany says
Oh! These cookies look beyond amazing!! I want one right now!
Lynn says
Is there a way to make these without peanut butter?
Jenn says
Did u ever get reply how to do without penute butter
Ann says
Sunbutter?
Jesee says
I substitute wow butter in mine all the time. You can get it at most supermarkets. It’s a soybutter alternative to peanut butter and it tastes the best in the recipes. It’s not the best on its own though so I only use it in recipes like this.
Sandi says
My niece is allergic to most nuts so I use cookie butter to make muddy buddies she loves them. I assume it would work for this.
Shantel says
Do the rice krispies get soggy?
Stephanie Brubaker says
Not at all! They stay nice and crunchy 🙂
