Gooey Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Bars

This easy recipe for Gooey Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Bars is rich, chewy, and loaded with chocolate and marshmallows. Similar to a brownie - except they're butterscotch! Divine.
- 1/2 cup butter
- 12oz butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 heaped teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
|Preheat oven to 350 |
In a medium saucepan melt the butter, brown sugar and butterscotch chips over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once melted and smooth, remove from heat an stir in eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Let the mixture cool completely before moving on.
|Once mixture is cool stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows. Spread into a greased 9x13" pan and bake for 25 minutes. Let cool before cutting. |
Store covered at room temperature.
