Banana Chocolate Chip Energy Bites - My kids BEG for these!

My kids are obsessed with these energy bites. I’m pretty sure they think it’s cookie dough, and they get so excited when I let them have some for breakfast. No one needs to tell them these are healthy!

Banana Chocolate Chip Energy Bites - The perfect snack!

I love having energy bites on hand. They are awesome for a quick breakfast, and they’re a great snack that tricks you into thinking you’re easting dessert!

Sometimes I make these as pictured, putting everything in the food processor, and sometimes I just mash the banana and stir it all together, leaving the oats whole. I like them both ways. This way kind of tastes like cookie dough, and the other way tastes more like a chewy granola bar! I love playing with different flavors too. These Lemon Pie Energy Bites and these Mint Chocolate Chip Energy Bites are some of our all time favorites!

Just finished making these and they’re one of the best energy bites I’ve ever made! I added 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed for added nutrients and 2 tsp vanilla to really bring out the ‘cookie dough’ flavor. My 2 yr old loves them too!

At this point I have only made these using oats. I will report back if I find a good substitute 🙂

Banana and chocolate are a wonderful combination for an energy bite. Wish I had one right now. I could use a little energy.
