Is it absolutely necessary that it be made in a cast iron skillet or with a standard pie tin work, as long as its greased well?

    • Stephanie says

Hi, Christine! Yes, you can use a regular pie tin – you may not be able to fit all of the dough in there though. Just make cookies with the rest 🙂

This is going to be a reeeeeal problem for me. I can’t resist Nutella, and this looks AMAZING. I need to stop being friends with so many amazing baking bloggers 🙂

Took on look at this on tumblr and decided to make it for Christmas presents. My only problem: how to give it to a ton of friends.

Took the basic recipe, and used it in a sheet pan with 24 tiny tart molds. These came out AMAZING. They overflowed a little, so they look like little cookie muffins. I have to admit, the name makes it sound a little too sweet, but these weren’t! Thanks so much for the great recipe!

I made the nutella oreo cheesecake pie and the edges of the pie were awesome, but the middle seemed to be undercooked. I wasn’t sure with the cream cheese if that’s the way it was supposed to be or if I did something wrong. Is the consistency of this pie supposed to be like a cookie, or soft?

    • Stephanie says

It is a bit soft. Sort of a cross between a cookie and cheesecake. Maybe a few more minutes in the oven would give it more of a cookie like texture. I hope you enjoyed it!

I’m loving the new digs! Just took my shoes off and put my feet on the coffee table, hehe. This pie isn’t just Cheesecake and a cookie having a baby, this is the octo-mom of baking! I have to give this a try! Pinned.
