Serves | 10 |
Prep time | 20 minutes |
Cook time | 30 minutes |
Total time | 50 minutes |
Meal type | Dessert |
Ingredients
- 3/4 cups butter (softened)
- 8oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cup Oreos (chopped )
- 3/4 cups Nutella
Directions
Step 1 | |
Preheat oven to 350* | |
Step 2 | |
In a large bowl cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg and vanilla. Gradually add in the soda, salt, and flour and mix until incorporated being careful not to over mix. Stir in 1 cup of oreos and the chocolate chips by hand.
Step 3 | |
Press half of the dough into a greased cast iron skillet.
Step 4 | |
Spread 1/2 cup nutella all around the dough and top with remaining dough.
Step 5 | |
Bake for 30-35 minute or until toothpick inserted comes out clean (there will be some melted chocolate on the toothpick, you just want to be sure the dough itself is cooked through)
Step 6 | |
Let cool and drizzle with remaining 1/4 cup of nutella (melted) and remaining oreos |

This looks heavenly!! I think I am going to attempt it this weekend. What size cast iron skillet did you use?
Tash @ The Velvet Moon Baker says
This looks heavenly and totally devilish all at the same time! and the new site is fab 😀
Tash @ The Velvet Moon Baker says
woops totally meant to say your site looks fab not your new site otherwise I’d be a good few months behind everyone else haha
Christine says
Is it absolutely necessary that it be made in a cast iron skillet or with a standard pie tin work, as long as its greased well?
Stephanie says
Hi, Christine! Yes, you can use a regular pie tin – you may not be able to fit all of the dough in there though. Just make cookies with the rest 🙂
Kate | Food Babbles says
Holy cow!! This sounds (and looks) AMAZING!!!! My mouth immediately started watering. That’s always a good sign 😉
Lisa says
This is going to be a reeeeeal problem for me. I can’t resist Nutella, and this looks AMAZING. I need to stop being friends with so many amazing baking bloggers 🙂
Cheryl says
Took on look at this on tumblr and decided to make it for Christmas presents. My only problem: how to give it to a ton of friends.
Took the basic recipe, and used it in a sheet pan with 24 tiny tart molds. These came out AMAZING. They overflowed a little, so they look like little cookie muffins. I have to admit, the name makes it sound a little too sweet, but these weren’t! Thanks so much for the great recipe!
Jamie says
I made the nutella oreo cheesecake pie and the edges of the pie were awesome, but the middle seemed to be undercooked. I wasn’t sure with the cream cheese if that’s the way it was supposed to be or if I did something wrong. Is the consistency of this pie supposed to be like a cookie, or soft?
Stephanie says
It is a bit soft. Sort of a cross between a cookie and cheesecake. Maybe a few more minutes in the oven would give it more of a cookie like texture. I hope you enjoyed it!
Alyssa says
