These cookies almost didn’t happen. I mixed up the dough and then I was faced with a serious problem. I had to keep testing it again, and again to be sure…yep, it tasted WAY too good! I honestly could hardly bring myself to bake them. Turns out, they taste pretty spectacular in cookie form too, but I’m warning you now, if you’re a cookie dough lover this recipe is very dangerous!
Chocolate and peanut butter is a popular combination for a reason. It’s the best! So obviously adding lots of peanut butter cups into chocolate cookie dough was a good idea. But this isn’t your average chocolate cookie dough. I added a scoop of hot fudge and it took these cookies from delicious to dangerous! They are so chocolatey. So fudgy. So soft and chewy! So thick and full of chocolate chips and peanut butter cups!
When adding the peanut butter cups, toss them into the mixer whole (and unwrapped, of course). This way you will get lots of big hunks of peanut butter cups in the cookies. This is part of what makes these so ridiculously delicious!
So if you make this recipe and happen to have some dough left after eating is by the spoonfuls to actually bake some cookies, make sure you have people to share these cookies with…they are just as addicting as the dough 🙂

These look delicious and dangerous at the same time – I don’t think the cookie dough would get to the pan to bake – however, I’m willing to try my hardest 🙂
