This Healthy Double Chocolate Brownie Bars Recipe makes a fudgy, chewy, brownie like dessert that will satisfy your chocolate cravings without the guilt!
I have made this recipe so many times now, tweaking it slightly until it was just right. I made these again this week and my 7 year old claimed they are his favorite brownie ever!! Woohoo!
You probably already have all the ingredients on hand to make these right now. No crazy or expensive ingredients are needed in this simple recipe.
The best part? Each brownie is only about 100 calories!!
My husband and kids all loved these healthy brownies – I call that a huge win!! Healthy and family approved?! I think you need to make these!
My husband is pretty quick to turn up his nose when it comes to heathy recipes – especially desserts, so when he gave these 2 thumbs up I was thrilled!
I love having healthy options for snacks and desserts for my family. It’s so easy to reach for junk food when you’re hungry, but with a pan of these on the counter it will be easy to choose the healthier option 😉
These healthy brownies do contain bananas, and you can taste them. Just an FYI for those of you who have a banana aversion. Chocolate is definitely the number one flavor here, but you will notice some banana.
These have an awesome fudge texture, very much like traditional brownies. They are great at room temperature, but please try them warm, too. The chocolate gets all melty and gooey, and I promise you won’t know you’re eating something good for you!

Can I use two cups of flour? I don’t want to use oats. I like to bake brownies the regular way.

Your recipe of healthy double chocolate brownies specifies for 2 cups of oats? What kind of oats are needed? Old fashioned? Quick cooking?
Stephanie Brubaker says
Hi Katie! You can use either type of oats. Since you grind it into flour, it doesn’t really matter. I have used both kinds with success 🙂 I use old fashioned more often because that’s what I keep on hand. enjoy!

Thank you, so much. 😊
