Eggnog Brownies
Serves 24
Prep time 10 minutes
Cook time 20 minutes
Total time 30 minutes
These glazed Eggnog Brownies are chewy, fudgy, and full of holiday flavor. They are the perfect quick and easy Christmas dessert to bring to a party!

Ingredients

Brownies

  • 3/4 cups unsalted butter
  • 8oz white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 1 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon rum extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tablespoons eggnog
  • nutmeg

Directions

Brownies
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
In a glass bowl, microwave the white chocolate, butter, and eggnog about 90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth. Mix in the sugar, eggs, salt, and rum extract. Stir in the flour just until incorporated - you don't want to mix too much air into the batter. Spread evenly into a 9x13" greased pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with fudgy crumbs. Be careful not to over bake or the brownies will not be fudgy. Let cool completely.
Glaze
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and eggnog until smooth. You want a thick, glue like consistency. Add more eggnog if too thick. Spread over cooled brownies, and sprinkle a bit of nutmeg on top, if desired. Store in the refrigerator.

The rum gives them more of an eggnog flavor, but you could just use vanilla if you’d rather not use rum extract 🙂 Enjoy!

These look great Stephanie! I should make them for my brother. He loves eggnog so much he went on a diet and lost 7 pounds before Christmas one year, just so he could drink unlimited amounts of eggnog. He gained every pound back. Haha!

These eggnog brownies look incredible – love the rum flavor, though I might be sneaky and use actual rum. 😉 Can’t wait to give this recipe a try!
