Easy Homemade Caramel Dip
This Awesome Homemade Caramel Dip is so buttery and smooth, and perfect for dipping apples and pretzels! It's natural, additive free and tastes incredible!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/8 cup honey
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Step 1 | |
In a medium heavy saucepan cook the sugar undisturbed over medium heat until it starts to melt - about 5 minutes. Once it starts melting stir constantly until smooth and completely dissolved. Add cream a little at a time (it will bubble up a lot as you add it so be careful). Continue stirring as you add the cream until it is smooth. Add the honey and salt and continue stirring and cooking over medium low heat for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add butter and vanilla. Stir well. Allow to cool some before dipping. Store leftovers in the refrigerator, covered. Makes about 1 cup. |

Have you tried doubling the recipe? I would want to try this for a party, but I know not all recipes double well. How long do you think leftovers could stay in the fridge? What am I saying-anything leftover would never last!
On a cuff? I think “Be of good courage”- a reminder I often need as I try to start my own company!! I’m sure the women in Africa would really appreciate D’Wana’s generous and loving help!
