Chewy Christmas Sprinkle Cookies are so fun and festive, with (or without) a milk chocolate center! A secret ingredient makes them completely irresistible!
Is it even Christmas time without sprinkle cookies?! I think not.
These sprinkle cookies quickly become a favorite with all who try them, and it’s no wonder! They immediately catch your eye with all the fun Christmas sprinkles, and with one bite you will understand why these are set apart from all other sprinkle cookies!
You may remember seeing these Halloween Sprinkle Cookies back in October. They were crazy popular, and I knew right away a Christmas version needed to happen!
Your Christmas cookie list needs to include these fun little gems. They taste amazing with or without the chocolate candy center, but I’ve never been one to turn down chocolate!
One of my 6 year olds is not a big fan of chocolate, so I was purposeful about making lots of these cookies without it. You really can’t go wrong either way!
My kids are begging for more of these, but we are in the midst of a major renovation of our entire main level – including the kitchen. No baking or cooking has been going on here lately.
It will probably be mid January before the kitchen is complete, but at least my new appliances should be here soon. I can’t wait to bake a bunch of Christmas cookies and goodies with my kiddos!
Do you have a special recipe you make every Christmas? Please share, I’d love to know!
Christmas Sprinkle Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cups butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- sprinkles
- 48 milk chocolate stars
Directions
Step 1 | |
Preheat oven to 350 In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter, and sugars until light and creamy. Add the salt, vanilla, and egg, mixing well to combine. Add baking soda and flour and mix just until incorporated.
Step 2 | |
Roll cookie dough into 48 equal sized balls (about 1 1/4" each). Roll each ball in sprinkles until completely coated.
Step 3 | |
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets about 2" apart for 8-10 minutes. Immediately press a chocolate star into the center of each cookie (optional). Allow them to cool a few minutes on the cookie sheet before moving them to a cooling rack. Make sure the chocolate is completely set before storing in an airtight container. These freeze well, too! |

I made these cookies yesterday. Christmas Sprinkle Cookies were easy to make and they were delicious! The peanut butter is subtle in these cookies. I bake every week and I was delighted to find a new recipe.
