Taco Snack Mix
Serves 20
Prep time 10 minutes
Cook time 1 hour
Total time 1 hours, 10 minutes
This Taco Snack Mix is a fun and easy snack that everyone loves! It's great for parties, road trips, or after school snacks!

Ingredients

  • 7 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 2 cups pretzel twists (gluten free if needed)
  • 2 cups cheese crackers (gluten free if needed)
  • 1 packet McCormick Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 250
In a large bowl mix together the cereal, crackers, and pretzels. In a small glass bowl microwave the butter until melted. Pour over cereal and gently stir to coat. Sprinkle on the taco seasoning and gently stir again until evenly coated.
Step 2
Pour snack mix on a cookie sheet in an even layer and bake for an hour, atirring every 20 minutes.
Store in a sealed container at room temperature.

For an appetizer, I made this…. Chili Spiced Cheese Dip. It’s actually more like a cheese ball texture, so make sure you use a sturdy chip or spread it on some crackers. We liked it with corn chips. The McCormicks Gluten-Free Chili Seasoning Mix really adds a fabulous flavor to this simple recipe. My husband thought it would be awesome baked too – totally trying that next time!

That cheese dip has my name written all over it. My weakness is cheese and dip and cheese dip!

Chex Mix! I miss Chex Mix. We recently got Cheerios in Germany, though. At least it’s something. 😉

And both these recipes look great! I actually bring McCormick stuff over here with me whenever I visit my parents back home.

A family fun night is a great idea! I love all of these recipes, but that Taco Snack Mix is such an awesome idea – it’s getting made today. My “starving” just-home-from-school kids will thank you 🙂
