Banana Cupcakes with Chocolate Oreo Frosting made from scratch – what could be better?
Next to chocolate cake, banana cake is my favorite! Make it in mini muffin tins and top with luscious  chocolate frosting and Oreos? Ahhhhmazing!
My youngest turned one on New Year’s Day and I thought that banana cake was a great choice for baby’s first cake! It’s pretty safe to say he loved it 😉 These were a hit with everyone else too! I caught a few kids snagging more than a couple, ha!
This recipe makes about 18 mini cupcakes. Perfect for little treats throughout the week – no need to wait for a special occasion to make these!

I love these! I actually made a banana cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday this year since she loves bananas. I love how moist the cake turns out. And the texture is quite different from banana bread.
