Homemade Banana Cream Pie Poke Cake - This is so easy and amazing (and from scratch!!)

The other day I shared with you my recipe for the best homemade banana pudding. While it’s amazing on it’s own, I couldn’t resist using it to make this Banana Cream Pie Poke Cake. You have got to try this, friends!

Homemade Banana Cream Pie Poke Cake from scratch!

When you need a dessert that will not only feed a crowd, but also throughly impress them – make this cake!  It’s cool, creamy, and totally dreamy. While most poke cakes you find are made with a boxed cake mix and boxed pudding mix, my version is made from scratch. It is so much better this way and seriously doesn’t take much more effort!

Homemade Banana Cream Pie Poke Cake - Even better than it sounds!

This cake has a few steps to it, but I promise it’s easy to make. This cake is perfect for potlucks and cookouts – everyone will beg for the recipe!

Homemade Banana Cream Pie Poke Cake - Holy Moly, you HAVE to make this!!!

I grew up eating poke cakes made from scratch. Pudding poke cakes were me absolute favorites. This one looks fantastic! I can practically taste the bananas just looking at it.

I plan on making this cake but first I have a question….when it comes to making the pudding for the cake, I am assuming that after I add the vanilla and bananas to the pudding mixture, I pour it on the cake…and do not do the last pudding instruction which is to let cool, then cover and chill to thicken….

    Please reply.

    Thanks.

Hi Patricia! You still want to let the pudding cool and thicken before pouring over the cake. Hope you enjoy it!
