I love salted caramel mocha’s, salted caramel mocha coffee creamer, salted caramel chocolates…you get it, I like this stuff. Why not turn these flavors into a donut? #greatidea

The donuts are a rich chocolate with a hint of coffee. They are baked though, so they have a light texture. Then they are dipped in a chocolate mocha glaze that I would gladly swim in :)

I cooked up a fresh batch of salted caramel and drizzled each donut generously. Mmmmmm….

Feel free to sprinkle extra sea salt on top (that’s what I did on mine and it was wonderful!).

About how much sea salt did you put in the caramel? And can I use kosher salt?

    • says

I just sprinkled it in, but I would guess about 1/2 tsp. I don’t see why you couldn’t use kosher salt :)
