These cake batter flavored cookies are made without using a cake mix, then they are loaded with sprinkles, Reese’s Pieces, and more! Funfetti Birthday Cake Cookies are soft and chewy, and are sure to make you smile!
Never miss a recipe – follow Back For Seconds on Blog Lovin and be sure to read the whole post…I have a BIG SURPRISE at the end!!!
This is the perfect cookie recipe for the person who just can’t decide what kind of cookie to make. These cookies have it all!
The dough is buttery and sweet and loaded with all kinds of happy mix-ins. I used chocolate chips, Reese’s Pieces, and plenty of rainbow sprinkles!
These cookies bake up soft and chewy and they are packed full of flavor and texture. This is the cookie to make when you have something to celebrate – it’s just such a happy cookie, don’t you think? Or maybe bake up a batch on a Monday to make it feel more like Friday 😉
Speaking of celebrating… I have some happy HAPPY news!!!! I’m pregnant! My 4 year old daughter is SO excited, and I cannot believe that my twin boys – not even 2 years old yet- are going to be big brothers! We are all thrilled and are praying for a much less traumatic pregnancy this time around. I am already in my second trimester and have only had one stint in the Emergency Room….that’s actually pretty good for me 😉 Feeling so very thankful that even though I have been super sick, baby is healthy!! #worthit
I do apologize for the infrequent posts and recipes, and for not visiting my fellow bloggers websites these last few months. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to run a food website and support fellow foodies when I can’t bear to look at food?? I am sick around the clock and can hardly manage to sip water let alone cook or bake. It’s really pretty funny actually. Luckily I have several recipes ready to go that I have saved up over time, so I will still be posting when I can.
In the mean time – bake these cookies and enjoy them for me 🙂 And to make them even more incredible whip up a batch of this frosting and make cookie sandwiches out of them!

Is it baking powder or baking soda? In your ingredients it says soda, but in the instructions it says powder. Thanks!
Stephanie Brubaker says
Baking soda – I will fix that. Sorry for the confusion. Enjoy the cookies!

These cookies were delicious! I think I should have chilled the dough before baking, however; mine melted out rather flat, unlike the ones in your photos. Regardless, they were so good and I’m going to send them across the country today as a birthday gift for my sister. Hoping they survive the journey!!
Thanks for the fun recipe!
Stephanie says
How sweet of you! I’m so glad you like them and I hope your sister enjoys them as well! 🙂

I have been searching for a long time, if you happen to have it and this comment gets through to you I would love if you could hare it with me
