Fudgy Peanut Butter Cup Brownies from Scratch - These are the BEST!! #brownie #peanutbuttercups #dessert
So, I have been blogging here for just a few weeks and I am already bringing you anther brownie recipe. And, yep, you guessed it, they’re fudgy! Β Can you tell I have a soft spot for these things? Even as a kid I would request brownies instead of birthday cake. They are my favorite πŸ™‚
These are so easy to make it’s almost embarrassing. And *bonus* they are out of this world delicious!
How could they not be? They are chock full of peanut butter cups. I know chocolate and peanut butter is not a new idea, but I thought I’d better post this in case you haven’t tried this variation. Β Your welcome.

Fudgy Peanut Butter Cup Brownies
by: Back For Seconds
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped peanut butter cups
Preheat oven to 350*
In a large glass bowl melt the butter and mix in cocoa powder until smooth. Stir in sugar, vanilla, eggs, and salt. Mix in the flour until the batter is smooth then stir in half of the chocolate chips and 1 cup of the peanut butter cups. Spread into a well greased 9×13″ pan. Sprinkle remaining chips and peanut butter cups on top. Bake 20-25 minutes being careful not to over bake. Store in a tightly covered container.

I noticed there’s no baking soda or baking powder in the recipe…I’m making them now and adding 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Is there supposed to be baking powder in it?

Nope! I don’t ever put baking powder in my brownies. I like them dense and fudgy πŸ™‚
