Fudgy Butterscotch Brownies

Fudgy Butterscotch Brownies
Serves 16
Prep time 10 minutes
Cook time 28 minutes
Total time 38 minutes
These Fudgy Butterscotch Brownies are just like your favorite chocolate brownie, except these are made with butterscotch! They are buttery, chewy, and addicting!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 8oz butterscotch chips
  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350*
In a glass bowl melt the butter with the butterscotch and stir until smooth. Add sugar and mix well with a wooden spoon. Mix in the salt, vanilla, and eggs until incorporated. Stir in flour until well combined.
Spread batter into a greased 8" pan. Bake for 28 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

    I have the Fudgy White Chocolate Brownies in the oven now, but came to the Fudgy Butterscotch Brownie recipe hoping it indicated when to add the vanilla since the White Chocolate didn’t indicate. Neither does the Butterscotch recipe. I added it with the salt & eggs – hope that’s right!!
