Sugar Cookie Bars with Snickers and M&M’s
Serves 28
These easy Sugar Cookie Bars with Snickers and M&M's are the ultimate sugar cookie experience! No chilling or rolling dough - just bake, frost, and eat!

Ingredients

Cookie Bars

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&M's
  • 1 /2 cup snickers candy bars (chopped)

Frosting

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Cookie Bars
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
In a large bowl beat together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add sour cream, vanilla, and eggs and mix well. Add baking powder, salt, and half of the flour and mix until incorporated. Add in remaining flour and mix until combined. Stir in candy and spread into a greased 9x13" pan. Bake 20 -25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The bars stay very light in color - do not wait for them to brown or they will overcook.
Let cool before frosting.
Frosting
Step 2
In a mixing bowl beat together butter, sugar, vanilla, and 2 TBS milk until creamy and fluffy. If too thick add another TBS milk and beat again. Spread over cooled bars and top with sprinkles if desired.
Store covered at room temperature.

These look awesome! My mom made sugar cookie bars last year and they were delicious! I love the addition of candy in these!
