These festive bars are a mix between magic cookie bars and gooey butter cake - no cake mix required! The Reese's eggs and coconut add amazing flavor and a nice holiday touch!

Ingredients

Cookie Crust

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/4 cups flour

Topping

  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bag Reese's Pieces Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

Directions

Cookie Crust
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add cocoa, salt, and vanilla and mix again until well blended. Beat in eggs one at a time. Gradually mix in flour and baking soda on low speed untl well blended. Spread into a greased 9x13" pan and bake for 15 minutes.
Step 2
When cookie crust is done baking remove from oven and evenly sprinkle with chocolate chips, coconut, and Reese's eggs. Pour condensed milk over the top and bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until it starts to brown slightly around the edges. It will be gooey - you want it that way!

Steph, these are absolutely incredible! You know how I have a special place in my heart for anything that starts and/or ends with “magic bar.” And the coconut! And the Reese’s eggs! Is it just me, or do Reese’s instantly become more irresistible once they’re dyed in pastel colors? Haha.
