So, never having done this… How do you brown butter?
Sam says

Angela says
how many cookies does this yield?
Marlene says
Question about the brown butter, which I made last night: is it 1 cup brown butter or two sticks/1 cup butter converted to brown butter? There is some evaporation during the browning so it looks like I have less than a cup of the finished product. Thanks!
Stephanie Brubaker says
Hi Marlene! You need 1 cup (2 sticks) butter that you will then brown. I’m sorry for the confusion, Hope you enjoy the cookies as much as we do!
Marlene says
Thanks for the quick reply, Stephanie. That’s what I did, wanted to make sure I had the correct amount before baking the cookies.
Michele Rutti says
Hi,on the recipe for Brown Butter White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies the recipe only calls for white morsels but the picture clearly shows chocolate and I’ve had these cookies before and know they had chocolate.would I put the same amount of chocolate morsels as the white or half the amount of the white and add same amount of chocolate? Thanx
Stephanie Brubaker says
There is no chocolate other than white chocolate in these cookies. Maybe the cranberries might be what appears to be chocolate to you? Anyway. If you want to add chocolate chips to these I would use 1/2 white chips and 1/2 chocolate. Enjoy!

Sorry to bother you
I’m gettin ready to make cranberry cookies
Does this recipe need brown butter[which I never made ] or do I just follow directions as is
Thx thx thx
Stephanie Brubaker says
I used brown butter when making these. If you’d rather not use brown butter, use softened butter instead. They will still be great, but they won’t have that nuttiness that brown butter gives. Hope this helps, enjoy!
