- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tbsp red food color
- 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, mixing well between each addition.
Add cocoa, salt, vinegar, and vanilla and mix until well combined.
Mix in flour and baking powder.
Add food coloring and mix until well combined.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread evenly into a greased 9x13" pan. Bake 22-24 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the center of the bars comes out clean. Be careful not to over bake.
Allow bars to cool before cutting into squares.
