- 1 cup butter
- cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
- 2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
Frosting
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup yellow cake mix
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/4 tbsp milk or cream
- 1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles
Brownies
Preheat oven to 350
In a large glass bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
Stir in sugars and cocoa powders until completely combined.
Add eggs one at a time until incorporated.
Add salt and vanilla and mix.
Stir in flour just until combined.
Spread batter evenly into greased 9x13" baking pan.
Bake for 22-24 minutes or until tester comes out clean or with fudgy crumbs. Allow to cool completely.
Frosting
In a mixing bowl beat butter, sugar, cake mix, vanilla, and 2 tbs milk until smooth.
If too thick add more milk 1 tbs at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Stir in half of the sprinkles and spread over cooled brownies. Top with extra sprinkles.
Cut into 24 bars.
