Soft and Chewy Snickerdoodle Bars

Cinnamon and sugar collide in these Soft and Chewy Snickerdoodle Bars. One bite and you'll be hooked! Perfectly chewy with a crisp sugar crackle on top.
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups brown sugar (packed)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 2/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/8 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
|Preheat oven to 350 |
In a mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla, and salt, and mix well. Add the baking powder and flour, a little at a time, and mix until incorporated. Spread into a greased 9x13" pan.
|Mix together sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over cookie dough. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the pan comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do not over bake. |
Let cool before cutting. Store tightly covered.
