Homemade Butterscotch Custard

Homemade Butterscotch Custard
Serves 8
This Homemade Butterscotch Custard is smooth and creamy and incredibly delicious! If you like butterscotch pudding you will love this easy homemade custard!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 11oz butterscotch chips

Directions

Step 1
In a medium sauce pan whisk together the sugar, milk, cornstarch, salt, and egg yolks. Add butterscotch chips and cook over medium heat. Continue cooking, whisking constantly, until chips are melted and the mixture is smooth and thick. Let it come to a boil and allow to boil for 1 minute, Turn off heat and let cool. Pour into mini pie crusts or mini glass serving bowls. Cover and chill.
