Caramel Apple Crumb Cake

Caramel Apple Crumb Cake is a scrumptious fall dessert! Filled with cinnamon and apples, loaded with a buttery crumb topping, and a salted caramel drizzle!

Ingredients

Apples

  • 3 cups apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Crumb Topping

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Cake

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder

Caramel

  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce

Directions

Apples
Step 1
Add apples, cinnamon, and sugar to a small bowl and stir to combine. Set aside.
Crumb Topping
Step 2
Stir together all topping ingredients in a medium sized bowl until thoroughly combined, and clumps form. Set aside
Cake
Step 3
Preheat oven to 350.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
Step 4
Add the eggs, mixing after each one.
Step 5
Add milk and mix to combine.
Step 6
Add baking powder and flour, and mix on low until well incorporated.
Step 7
Stir in cinnamon apples, then pour batter into a greased 13x9" pan.
Step 8
Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over the cake and bake for 40 minutes or until tester inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Caramel
Step 9
Heat the salted caramel sauce until easily pourable. Drizzle generously over the cooled cake.
