Easy Chocolate Peppermint Truffles

These Easy Chocolate Peppermint Truffles are perfect for Christmas gifts and cookie trays! They are simple to make, pretty to look at, and really delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 box Pillsbury Purely Simple Chocolate Cake Mix (plus ingredients on the box to make cake)
- 1 can Pillsbury Creamy Supreme Peppermint Frosting
- 18oz chocolate candy melts (or other dipping chocolate of your choice)
- sprinkles
Directions
Step 1 | |
Bake the cake in a 9x13" pan according to package instructions. Let cool Crumble up the cake in a large bowl and mix with frosting until completely incorporated and no cake lumps remain. Roll into 1 1/2" balls, place on a cookie sheet and freeze at least an hour. | |

Melt chocolate according to package instructions. Roll each truffle in the chocolate until completely coated. Lift truffle out of the chocolate from underneath using a fork. Carefully tap off excess chocolate and set on wax paper. Add sprinkles and allow chocolate to set before storing in a sealed container in the refrigerator. |
