Black Forest Cookie Bars

These Black Forest Cookie Bars are a cherry chocolate delight! These ooey, gooey bars are the ultimate Black Forest treat and one of the BEST dessert ever!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries (drained)
  • 7oz sweetened condensed milk (1/2 can)

Directions

Cookie Base
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
In a large microwave safe bowl melt the butter. Stir in cocoa and sugar until smooth. Stir in eggs and salt until well combined. Mix in flour until fully incorporated. Spread into a greased 9x13" pan.
Topping
Step 2
Sprinkle chocolate chips, marshmallows, and chopped cherries over the cookie base. Pour condensed milk evenly over bars.
Bake for 22 minutes and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
