Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
Serves 32
Prep time 20 minutes
Cook time 15 minutes
Total time 35 minutes
These Soft and Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars will satisfy any peanut butter and chocolate craving! Perfect with a cup of coffee or glass of milk!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil (I used coconut oil)
  • 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

Topping

  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips (sprinkle on top if desired)

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butters, oil, and sugar. Add the cocoa, salt, and vanilla and mix well. Add in the egg and mix again. Add the baking soda, baking powder, and corn starch and gradually mix in the flour until well combined. Stir in chocolate chips and spread into a greased jelly roll pan. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
Step 2
Once cool, melt the peanut butter and pour into a plastic baggie. Snip of the very tip of the corner of the baggie and drizzle peanut butter over bars. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired. Cut into bars and enjoy!
Cover and store at room temperature.

I drink coffee once a day, and look forward to it every morning. Need to look out for these Folgers flavors! Cause you know… Best part of waking up… Chocolate and peanut butter is winning combo. I’d like to kiss whoever invented it. These bars make me kinda wanna kiss you. Weird? Sorry.

These are so cool! I’m a huge coffee drinker and ever since switching to Nespresso at home I’ve been missing flavored coffee. Definitely going to keep an eye out for these.

I am a coffee drinker, and make 99% of it at home (I have a hard time justifying paying so much unless I’m traveling for some reason) – so these are a great idea! And these bars are heavenly, I would love one alongside my cuppa.
